Karni Mata Temple
Deshnok village is 30 kms from Bikaner on the Jodhpur road. The village is quite famous
for the temple of Karni Mata, an incarnation of Durga. The most unique aspect of Karni
Mata temple complex is the large number of rodents considered to be holy incarnations of
the storytellers.
Junagarh Fort
Raja Rai Singh built Junagarh Fort between 1588 and 1593 by Raja Rai Singh, an army
general of mughal emperor Akbar. A 986m-long wall, 37 bastions, a moat and two entrances
fortify this fort. The 'Sun Gate' or the Surajpol is the main entrance of this fort. The
palaces within the fort, balconies, kiosks, towers, courtyards and windows are the main
attractions in the Junagarh Fort.
Shri Sadul Museum
The Lalgarh Palace encloses the Shri Sadul museum that covers the entire first floor of
the palace. The museum was established in 1076 with a wide collection of artifacts and
personal processions of the Maharajas of Bikaner.
Bhandasar Jain Temple
Dedicated to the fifth tirthankar Sumitnath, Bhandasar Temple was built in 1468 by a
Jain merchant, Bhandasa Oswal and was completed in 1514 after his death.
Camel Research Farm
The only Camel Research Farm in Bikaner in India as well as Asia has 230 camels and
three different camel breeds. The tourists can take a camel ride; visit baby camels and
also a small museum.
