Best Time to Visit Rajasthan
Being a predominantly a desert state, Rajasthan's weather is extremely varied,
something one has to take into account while planning a travel to the state. The best time
to visit Rajasthan is from late September to mid April when there is a dry heat with very
little humidity. As common to the desert region, temperatures rise unbearably to over
45°C during the months of May and June. After that, onslaught of monsoon over central and
east Rajasthan provide the much-needed succor to the sun parched land and fills empty
riverbeds. However, the intense summer heat lingers until mid-September or October, when
night temperature drops considerably. The best time to visit Rajasthan, therefore, is
during the cool, dry season, between November and February. During this period, daytime
temperature rarely exceeds 30°C. |
